While being the first economic area of the globe, the European Union has yet to show its strength in international relationships. Asia is fast growing but also faces important challenges. What is the future of the European project? Are governments still willing to sacrifice some sovereignty to make further progress in European integration? What will be the configuration of integration in Asia, with two large economies and a strong dependence vis-à-vis the rest of the world ?
